History of the Agoura Boxing Street Sports BJJ Gym.

The Agoura Boxing  Gym in its latest form has only been around since mid 2011, before that we were Thousand Oaks Boxing and we relocated from the Rollerdome inThousand Oaks.  We started T.O.Boxing in January of 2010, and the gym was less than 1000sqft. The facility was a great place to put on shows or fights where we could show case all the hard work that the boxers and mma guys put in 4 or 5 days a week to become fighters.

We were there for just over a year when the owner told me he was going to close the building so I persuaded him to let me throw a show. He agreed and we ended up putting on five shows and kept the doors open for another 6 months before the City Council of Thousand Oaks closed us down due to zoning issues,  and we relocated.

The five shows we threw at the Rollerdome had about 50 bouts and had no complaints or injuries,  infact a few of the guys who fought are now current professional MMA fighters such as Mike Jasper ( featured on Spike TVs Ultimate Fighter), Martin Gantt, Germain Baltzare. The shows were great for the community and help make the sport of MMA more mainstream, alot of friendships were made and  a great time was had by everyone involved.
The Rollerdome closed its doors and so we relocated to beautiful Agoura Hills in 2011 and changed our name to Agoura Boxing.

We have had Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the gym in one form or another for a few years, but I am now really pleased to have Street Sports Black Belt Timmy Bond running our Brazilian JIu-Jitsu program. He has had his black belts for many years and  competes in BJJ Tournaments and MMA Competitions, he has a background in wrestling and MMA and is very well known and respected throughout the Jiu Jitsu community
